Hristo Padev is a Bulgarian actor, born on December 23, 1984 in Sofia. He spent part of his childhood in Pavel Banya, where he grew up, and later continued his education at the Mathematics High School in Kazanlak. He studied computer science at the University of Plovdiv, but then decided to change his course and focus on acting. In 2011, he graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Arts and Film "Krusty Sarafov" with a degree in "Acting for Dramatic Theater" in the class of Prof. Atanas Atanasov.
After graduating, he began an active theater career, playing in a number of productions - at the Drama Theater in Plovdiv, in the Theater Workshop "Sfumato", and since 2014 he has been part of the troupe of the Small City Theater "Behind the Canal". Among the performances in which he participated there are "The Man-Eater", "Twelfth Night", "The Collection", "The 39 Steps", "The Art of Comedy", "Tom Sawyer", "Archimedes' Law", etc.
On the television screen, Hristo Padev established himself with several significant roles. One of his most popular television characters is Slavi Mitev in the series "Tatkovtsi". He also participated in series such as "The Portal", "The Path of Honor", "Mr. X and the Sea", "The Unknowns", "Search Department" and others.
In 2022, Hristo is among the actors in the performance "Friday Night", in a cast with Filip Bukov, Pavel Ivanov, Stoyan Doychev. This is a theatrical comedy that presents stories about Friday night — expectations, entertainment, but also the consequences that may follow.
After the success of "Friday Night", the sequel "Sunday Morning" appeared, which also includes Hristo Padev in the cast, along with the same colleagues. The play connects the experiences of Friday night with what remains of it — Sunday awakening, regrets, comical reflections and reflections on what it means to live in a social dynamic where partying and responsibility are intertwined.
On a personal level, Hristo Padev is married to actress Tsvetina Petrova; they have two children — son Petar and daughter Yana.
