Info - Silvia Petkova:

Sylvia Petkova was born on July 7, 1987 in Sofia. From an early age, she showed an interest in the stage and theater, although her childhood was spent tied to sports, school, and language classes — she studied Spanish at the 13th Secondary School "St. St. Cyril and Methodius".

After school, she decided to study acting and in 2010 graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Arts and Sciences "Krastyo Sarafov", majoring in "acting for dramatic theater", in the class of Prof. Zdravko Mitkov.

Her first role on the theater stage was in the production of "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck, directed by Asen Blatechki, where she played the Woman — this took place at the "Boyan Danovski" Theater in Pernik. This participation gave her initial professional experience. Not long after, she became part of the troupe of the "Sofia" Theater, from around 2011 onwards. In Sofia, she took part in performances such as "Pippi Longstocking", "Tiramisu", "4 Rooms", "Jump" and "Vain Efforts of Love". She gradually chose a freer form of work, as an artist who is not tied to just one institution.

Among the screen adaptations that brought Silvia popularity are her roles as Mrs. Dimitrova in the series "Revolution Z", as well as the role of Kera in "The Path of Honor". These roles made her recognizable among the wider audience, not only among theater connoisseurs.
In 2025, she joined the cast of the performance "The Neighbors Upstairs", produced by Artvent. This comedy show also features Lilia Maraviglia, Emil Markov and Ivan Barnev. The show is an adaptation of the film by Cesc Guy, directed by Emil Markov.

In "Neighbors Upstairs", Silvia Petkova plays one of two pairs of neighbors whose relationships with the hosts — Ana and Julio — unfold in tension, comedic conflicts and discussions of personal and public topics. This performance combines everyday petty annoyances with deeper human reactions — jealousy, noise, discontent and a longing for change.

Outside the theater, Sylvia Petkova has starred in films and series, some of which are "Our Little Differences", "Undercover", "Yellow Dog", "The Joy and Suffering of the Body". This gives her the opportunity to move between stagecraft and chamber expression, between the performance and the film/television frame.

It is characteristic of Sylvia that she prefers roles that allow her to express her emotional intelligence. In an interview, she mentioned that she is interested in characters that are not unambiguous - those that bring internal conflicts, but also dignity.

The play "The Neighbors Upstairs" is a new challenge for Petkova, because she manages to enter a comedic context with a text translated into Bulgarian culture, but to preserve the natural, humane behavior of her heroine. The audience applauds her for her lively presence, for the way she manages to balance humor and tension - between the noise of the "neighbors upstairs" and the personal boundaries in a family.

Today, Silvia Petkova is among the actresses who combine a solid education, a variety of scenes and roles, and participates in plays that are both entertaining and provocative.
